Apex Footwear Limited (AFL) is the leading footwear manufacturer and exporter from Bangladesh and with 250+ own retail outlets, 1300+ retail salesforce, and 275+ authorized franchisee, the company currently has the largest footwear retail operations in Bangladesh.

Apex Footwear Ltd. is seeking application from competent, dynamic and seasoned retail sales leaders to fill the following position:

AGM / DGM, Retail Operations

The focus of this role is to lead the biggest retail operations of Apex Footwear Limited across Bangladesh. The role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is a member of the company’s executive committee.
Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Develop, implement, review and monitoring the retail operating plan and budget.
• Develop and grow a customer focus retail operations including new stores to maximize available assets, planning 2 to 3 years in advance.
• Ensure awareness and account for competition, retail sector trends, and current trading opportunities.
• Maintain, seek, utilize and analyze management information including EPOS (electronic point of sale) data to manage performance, seize opportunities and make informed management decisions, taking appropriate remedial action as required to reach and maintain retail budgeted sales and net income contributions and develop and drive the business.
• Coordinate with HR in ensuring the effective management of all retail staff and to ensure adequate staffing levels throughout the business.
• Instigate and implement new policies and working practices in conjunction with HR and to undertake responsibility for ad-hoc initiatives, as and where appropriate.
• Ensure the safety and security of people, stock, cash, and property, implementing effective administration, EPOS, procedures and security systems throughout the shops in accordance with Apex guidelines.
• Undertake any other relevant duties within the overall scope of this position as requested by the supervisor/management.

Educational & Other Requirements:

• Masters in any discipline preferably in Business Administration with 12+ years of experience of which at least 3 years as AGM/DGM/GM level
• Candidates having work experience in leather, footwear or similar retail industry will get preference.
• The candidate should ideally be 35 to 45 years old
